It'll be the monkey twins for me. Won't ever win anything with such awful models, but I'm going to paint them anyway so I might as well enter them.

They are bad sculpts! Prefer the old versions of them without armour. Good luck though, with some effort with a brush you can make even a bad sculpt look decent.

Maybe some guys, but not me, mate. I'm not a very good painter. Table top standard is pretty much my best. Shame the models are so awful as they get used in almost every high elf army.

The standard of this month's entries is really high- and I genuinely mean that. Very impressed with almost everything I've seen so far. Conversion work especially. Almost tempted to break my hiatus.

Despite the wonderful entries already, decided to enter yesterday. Tauriel's mostly done now, just started bear-Beorn an hour ago. Why are there only 30 days in April? :-X

My entry: Beauty and the Beast!

Finished both in a single afternoon each, so pretty pleased with how they turned out. Could have spend more time on especially Tauriel, but with the limited time I've got to paint, I better make every minute count and aim at a bit of efficiency as well.

Ursine-Beorn is the Reaper Miniatures 'Dire Bear' figure - a hefty chunk of metal, and one angry bear for sure.

EDITed with updated pictures of Tauriel.

Some of these are amazing, I have a lot to prove it seems. That kings huntsman and hornblower from the Rohan command are the one for me. Also really like the dale command, banner us gorgeous (just like me ;-))

The general standard certainly seems to have gone up a notch in the last couple of months. Pleased I've managed to enter this month as the category suited and have finished off my entry (Bolg Ft & Mtd). Proof picture plus final pictures below:

Here are my two minis. Kinda run out of time and had to rush it a bit, but at least they are done.

First an NMM Mounted Theodén:
