New Ink Set by Andrea Miniatures

Andrea Miniatures just released a new Ink Set that might be an alternative to the old GW inks and similar products.
For now the range has only six colours but its possible that it grows a bit more in the future.
Some comments suggest that they work pretty much like the old GW Inks without the glossy effect (even if straight from the pot!) and they are less likely to left tidemarks.
The set sells for around 16 euros and, at least for now, they don't seem to be available individually. Oh well...
Overall, it might be another alternative to choose from if you use Inks in your models.

New Citadel brushes

EEGT Best Army Award - done it once again !! :)

Hey there,
I'd like to share with you my personal succes I achieved today. I managed to defend last year's Best Army Award at Eastern Europe Grand Tournament (with Wood Elves).
This year I've done it with Harad  A competition was more fierce so i'm even more glad.
Thanks to all of you who took part in my WiP discussion thread and helped me with that Harad army.
Here are some pics. Shame I didn't have time to take pics of 3 other armies that took part in BA, but I'll try to find photos from some of my friends

Willow Tree Giant available to order

Finally the Willow Tree Giant has arrived! The 3rd in the Tree Giant series has a complex set of overhanging branches which out of neccessity forced my hand into purchasing two moulds - they would simply not all fit into one! Unfortunately this means that the price of this model will be a fraction higher than that of his predecessors, retailing at £18.95. Included in this price however is a clump of natural fern which makes for very realistic hanging appendages.
The official release date is 17th April, but you can now order it as usual from the product page at Majestic Bear Miniatures.
And for those wondering about scale, here he is with my other two and GW's Treebeard.

No US GW Grand Tournaments this Year

We know this will come as a disappointment to many who have enjoyed the resurgence in the GWGTs over the past two years, and as such this isn’t a decision we have entered into lightly.
This will give us the opportunity to step back and develop an even better experience and overall tournament circuit that will be able to apply to all of North America for 2010.
In the meantime, we heartily encourage anyone looking to get their tournament fix in to participate in the remaining shows on the GW Tournament circuit as well as the other great independent tournament and events that will take place throughout the rest of 2009. |
