Nice painting Bandobras. I like the face of the huntsmen.

Do they have to have legal equipment? I'm preparing Khandish company for BC and thought about doing khandish banner/hornblower on horseback, its BC legal but not in normal games. Could it enter anyway?

Seems like Rohan is a popular choice this time around. I'm going to enter Gamling and Grimbold.

I'll be entering with a converted Orc command. I hope the flag is "valid" seeing that it doesn't belong to the bearer. :-D

@Wha Wing and Silverhand: Converted minis and ithout 'legal' equipment are perfectly fine and valid entries.

Quick work Kurl and a great standard to set. No pun intended....

Damn, I already see some painting come by I know I will never be able to beat... But competing in the challenge really motivates me to pick up a brush so here is my entry:

Now I only need to decide whether I want to paint Vrasku + banner, a Mordor Uruk captain with banner OR an easterling war priest and banner bearer

Here we go. Numenor Banner (conversion by S&F) and Gondor captain. Lets hope the captain turns out. Some of the worst FC I have seen to date.

Sorry for the late reply, I've been away on holiday.

As to your question, legal equipment not required, your proposal is fine.

@Mig - thanks for picking up and replying there. Just playing catch up after a week away from the site.

Those conversions are brilliant! What are the base models underneath?

If you ask about my entry (everybody else use GW converted minis), they are Fireforge Games Light Mongol Cavalry, and they come 12 in a box in pretty nice plastic.
Really easy to make into khandish troops if you dont like those banners at the back (I have original models and didnt stick them).
If I were to start khandish force now I would actually go full Fireforge with slight conversions (adding axes instead of swords ;) ).

And since conversion topic is up maybe I will do something Khandish there (finish this time hopefully)

I will try again this month, this time with another of my named Ringwraiths, The Tainted. Elrohir should be joining too as soon as he's finished converting his Deorwine mounted (he's making a tutorial for it in The Kingdom of Rohan Supplement at the same time).

My entry - in the right place
The banner bearer has been roughly painted by whoever I bought it from on eBay. It will have a fresh paint job.

Damn it Gandlaf! I was going to do the exact same models haha

Haven't logged on in a while. Keen to participate, so my entry will be a High Elf Command. In all honesty I don't think I'll be able to complete this one due to uni work but you never know :)

My apologies Imladris, you could have done the same, it would have been interesting!

No need to apologise, it's all good :) I'm excited to see how yours will turn out, may give me a few ideas on how to paint them.

This finally gives me an incentive to start my High Elves. Now to figure out a colour scheme...
