If you're reading this then you will have already discovered the new website layout. If you're not reading this, then I don't really know why I'm bothering to write it!

There will no doubt be a few bugs and broken pages here and there, but I will fix them as I find them, so please bear with us as we get it all up and running 100%.

Thanks for your patience!

Very fancy new reply buttons :)

A pleasure to be one of the first to see the new site.

A few bugs I've noticed:

Home page broken
Topic review when posting is dodgy (it's at the side of the reply box and looks wierd but maybe it's just because I'm on my iPod)
Apparantly log in doesnt work according to Bart/James.

Alan, I admire the work you and Brian did on the site, and for that I am very grateful. I always have, and I always will. This place really is my home on the internet.

I'm having a beer in your honour now, and if we ever meet I'm going to buy you one.

You have just summed up eveything I would say - brilliant!

This IS my home on the internet too.

Fantastic stuff Alan. You've really brought a breath of fresh air into the design. I thought that I'd be nostalgic over the loss of the old OR theme, but you've really outdone yourself this time!

Hopefully I can go to Gen-Con and congratulate you in person!

Wow. Absolutely brilliant... I love it! For some reason the smileys don't work so I can't express my emotions :D
And under member's posts, the "e-mail" and "PM" stuff don't seem to be working... but maybe thats just me :/

Edit: nvm the smileys work

Thanks everyone. I tested this as much as I could before uploading it, and managed to catch as many bugs as I could find, but there will be a whole host that I missed (the Search page - completely forgot about them).

I've fixed a few already and will continue to work on the rest throughout the day. But please, if you find something, list it in here for me to see and I will add it to the (growing) list. Thanks guys

Hello Alan,

I love what you've dome with the place. But my poor little emoticons are not working. It looks like they are being blocked. I'm running firefox and NoScript as well a Adblocker. I hope this information proves useful.

Don't worry, bugs are to be expected :)

The 'Latest Gallery Images' section on the homepage, whilst a great idea, aren't working :(

hate to be whining after my sentimental post just now, but I noticed the smilies are not clickable (on my end at least), and the lazy buggers like me have to type the codes. :-D

EDIT: Member list and Member groups are retro as well.

I noticed that too James, and the smileys aren't clickable for me either though I usually type the codes anyway :P

I do like hte look of this update. However, one question, where would you see if you had a new PM waiting in your inbox?

a 1 appears next to your messages.

like this

messages (1)

EDIT: I can't highlight my text in this post, is this a common thing? guys?

yep, Jake is right - the number of unread messages now appears next to the link to the PM system. It'll take a bit to get used to but I hope people like it better that way.

You also have a menu link to your profile on the top line instead of clicking on your user name - that seemed more sensible to me.

Ok, I've fixed the topic review thingy (still looks a bit boring though) and have started work on fixing the Search page.
