I'm currently lying off in my hotel room pretty shattered after the Desolation of Stockport Tournament run by the GBHL team!! It was my first tournament and most certainly won't be my last!! I had a brilliant few days and I'd like to thank James and Jamie for putting together such a great event and for being great hosts! I'd also like say, it was really great meeting and chatting to all the other attendees and you are all such a great bunch of guys and I certainly hope to meet ye again at future tournaments. Big thanks also to my opponents for the fun and in a number of cases, pretty epic battles!! Really well done again guys. Thanks so much. I had an absolutely great time! |

Likewise- I need another weekend to get over the weekend! Got up to feed the cat 20 mins ago and my legs ache like I actually ran the marathon instead! Superb weekend, great opponents and a fantastic time all round. Two day tournaments certainly create a better sense of community and camaraderie, as well as being a LOT more intense! Big well done to James and Jamie for the effort they went to to make sure everyone had a great time. Provided there are no important clashes I'll certainly be down in September, and would recommend anyone else do the same, first timer or not: very friendly atmosphere. |

Thanks guys. It was really great to meet ye all as well. I don't really know why I didn't just assume it, but I'm really impressed with how easy going, helpful and just generally great guys all the people I met are. It makes me not just hopeful to get over again but adamant that I will!!! N Kevin. I'd like to thank yourself and Dave very much for nominating me in the best army, especially after looking at the other 8 armies that were there as well!! I was both chuffed and humbled to be included with those guys. It meant an awful lot to me and shows that my effort and improvement over the last few months has paid off. I hope to continue that improvement into the future. I said this in person to Dave but I didn't get a chance to thank you, so thanks again! |
