Top stuff, I like how the stone wall and stairs cut into the hillside. Makes it look very realistic. |

Some of the best terrain I've sever seen, and it's not even finished. |

Celevue is going to display the Amon Hen table at a local Model Show. I hope he can get time to post photos of the display this weekend. I would like to see more WIP photos too! |

The terrain is almost ready... I'm waiting for the glue to set, and I'll check tomorrow how much of the dead leaves are still loose. Gonna fix them with hairspray, and hope for the best. I'm fast running out of isoprophyl alcohol as well as scenic cement. I still need to build the support understructure for the entire board - even I haven't seen the completed board with all the pieces put together. I'm currently painting Uruks and the boats. I decided to use very-much-alive Boromir instead of the dying one - partly because I don't have time to paint the dying model, and partly because I realized that I can hide an iPod and a small speaker into the crypt and have the sound of the Horn of Gondor blast out every five minutes. That adds a whole new dimension to the model, and wouldn't be appropriate for the dying Boromir, since the Horn is already broken at that point. I fear I don't have time to detail the boats, either, but all told, I'm pretty happy with what I apparently will manage to complete by tomorrow evening. I promise plenty of photos on Sunday, both work-in-progress and of the completed board. Just bear with me a couple of days more... |

Absolutely phenomal work It captures the movie perfectly, even down to the details such as the 'hobbit hidey-hole' I have followed this thread for quite a while, but never commented, as, to be honest, I have no words in my vocabulary to praise you and your work enough. That first place trophy and the 'people's choice' award are most well deserved |

Absolutely fantastic work! Love it! It has most certainly motivated me to start on my stuff again when I get a chance! What I would give to have this my house! How much you want for it? Haha |

Brilliant mate, I'm delighted you got the recognition this deserves - a big first place. The landscape stands the test, even at close up and the foliage you have used fits in perfectly with my impression of Amon Hen. You are a master craftsman and now have the award to show it, my hat is tipped toward you fine sir. |

The final result is stunning, the most realistic version of Amon Hen I've ever seen. Congratulations on winning first place, thoroughly deserved. |

Absolutely stunning work, the submerged head looks like it's taken straight from the film, well deserved prize. Can't wait to see more sip shots. |

As the guys above have already stated, that is a very well deserved prize. Truly awe-inspiring work there Celevue. I'm quite sure you'll have already answered this question but what were you using for the (incredibly lifelike) fallen leaves? |

So cool! You have done a great job on it. I think you have captured the whole thing very well. I particularly liked the legolas part, the seeing seat and the hobbit hidey hole - no wonder it got the peoples award! Also, the trees and leaf litter is top notch, not too much either way |

Wow, this is fantastic! Truly magnificent work you've done there! The whole layout is brilliant and feels very close to the movie, and the undergrowth looks very realistic, with all the fallen leaves. Simply stunning! |

Stunning, truly stunning, and congratulations on the award; would it be easy to provide a link to the fallen leaves used in the piece? |
