Hmmm that is a difficult question to answer and I feel that only you yourself can answer it. The painting on it is outstanding and the colours really compliment each other as they are. If I were painting it and I was going to add gore I would try and make it as subtle as I could - maybe just on the talons, I would stay away from adding gore to the teeth as I would not want to distract attention away from the eyes which are fantastic by the way. Really difficult decision you have to make there.

I bought some body parts - within there was a heap of guts with a cut of hand on it , that might fit in well. Dinner time!

Good thinkin Garmenhord I didn't think of that - You could always gore up the base with some poor half eaten soul.

That monster looks nice already, what you do now is entirely up to you.

Thanks guys for the help....I think I'll steer clear of the gore! I really didn't have the guts to put blood on him, but saw some interesting ideas in the CMoN gallery that had me thinking. So, no gore and maybe some poor sod on the base...gotcha! :)

Well after digging around in my bits drawer in my desk I found a dead orc, dead Rohirrim (Ebob sculpt) and the leftovers of an Ebob skeleton. I was temped by the dead orc as it would give the impression that a) he is indiscriminate as to what he eats and b) the base doesn't look outta place if I was playing this guy in my Angmar army against a Gondorian army by having some specific race of dead guy. But then I found the remnants of the skeleton and that solves all the problems...with it just being a ribcage and pelvis it leave it up to the imagination of the person looking at it as to what it used to be.
More pics coming soon. :)

Well, here we go...snow added to hide the odd sculpted flat spots on the bottom of his feet. Also added a bit of dead grass and also the partial skeleton for some detail.

Very nice, I really like the colouring of the skeleton. It is bright enough to stand out, but at the same time well weathered. (btw it looks like there's a hair, and something pink in that patch of snow...)

Well I didn't get to sleep till late so I finished him off.
@ theavenger001 The little pink thing in the snow is a part of the Skullcrafts' snow flock...it's this little iridescent piece that adds a some shine to the flock (just pink at that angle for some reason). They're rare, and easily picked out once glued onto the model if you choose to remove them, but I kinda like the effect and choose to leave them in. :)

Okay, it's probably reflecting the pink from the underside of the wings. :)
This guy is looking mean. THe colouring is superb, the horn/spike/bone/claw pieces look really nice. Good job.
