Agreed that base is incredible, I'm going to have to try and copy it. Looking forward to seeing more of your work. |

Ah yes, now I rememmbered... I did paint Haldir in an alternative color scheme in the late 2017. I was practicing non-metallic-metal and in the end it looked okey-ish. more picks soon |

Hi guys, long time... I have recently got back to painting a bit of my elven collection, and here is one of the results. After a little bit of cutting and gluing together I finished with this lad. What do you think? |

Looks good, I like the stars on the cloak. For the cloak, I would try blending your color transitions even more so the lines aren't as noticeable. Looking at clothing designs and color gradients between folds and higher areas helps a lot. Also, as your studying pictures, try imagining where the highlights may hit more than lower blends of highlights. This will give your clothing another dimension. |

@Feanorthenoldor Thank you for your comment, everything you said stands I have also experimented with a new color scheme for some Rivendell spear-elves. I always wanted to do a cold-color combination for these models and finally got the time to sit down and think about it. This is just a basic paintjob, nothing fancy, just to see how everything fits together. |

The color scheme looks good. I think you could introduce a bit of gold into it but if you stick with the steel/iron look, I think it compliments the robe colors well. Nice work on the gem in the shield as well |

The funny thing about purple is apparently, according to the paint gurus, you can have warm purple or cold purple, depending on the red/blue ratio. I would say that is a warm purple and that I like it very much. |

@Kuribo Apparently, I'm not sticking with a single color scheme just because of the experimenting I'm doing with these guys (when you are a commission painter you should be using your own models for experiments). Anyway, I like this particular colors and thanks for the support @GreatKhanArtist Thanks. This should have been cold purple, but I think as well that it matches well with the rest of the miniature (to be precise, I used screamer pink as a base color and worked my way up to the emperors children (citadel colors)). Thanks for the comment Anyway, here is how the whole army looks so far |
