Dwarfs. If your still unsure get a friend and play the two choices against each other .

are you expecting someone to bring a ring race to this tournament? Or any magic.because one sap will and your army probably loses with the orcs.

I would also say dwarves. However, if you want to take the orcs, why dont you change the troll and grishnakh for a troll captain?

Which armies do your opponents have? Which scenarios do you play?

I think that the Mordor army would be stronger against most things, but as Lord of the Brown Ring says, even just one budget wraith will cripple your army because the shaman will have no will and so fury won't work, and the troll will get immobilised or compelled and slaughtered. Apart from that slight drawback however, the army seems sound.

I don't have much experience against magic but how can I make the mordor list more magic resistant? If your shaman can be nerfed so easily why does anyone take them?

The scenarios are everthing except high ground and to the death. I thought channel fury and rend the enemy heroes/generally throw people around with trollie and the jobs done!

I may consider dropping grishnakh for a troll chief but I don't have the model and I'm kind of weird about proxying.

So does the dwarf list seem pretty solid then?

Well, just saying... Even in case enemy had a mage, sap will won't be problem since u can/will make fury in the beginning. Your shaman looses fury only if he looses a melee combat. But another thing is, 350p is very little, so troll is riscy (though enemies dont probably have mage), also shaman won't benefit as many units. From your lists I would take mordor.

Salattu, the Shaman doesn't lose Fury if they lose a fight. They only lose it if they run out of Will, thus Sap Will can get rid of Fury very easily.

Isilduhrr is correct on both counts: if you go up against any other mordor force with any magic you will end up paying the points of an orc captain for a model that can't act like one. I would go for the dwarf list: you don't need fury if you never get wounded and the shieldbearer and bodyguard should eliminate courage difficulties. You also have F4 across the board and 2 solid heroes.
Of course what you should really take at 350 points is Aragorn mounted with armour and the twins on horses, but you might have trouble controlling the board with your lack of might.
