Hi guys,
I recently decided to get back into miniatures/war-gaming after a three year hiatus. I used to play 40k but quit in frustration with the games imbalance and overly-complex/restricting rules. However LOTR rules interested me because not only are the rules far simpler but they also allow for players to field a small amount of miniatures. I prefer quality painted miniatures and strategic game-play over quantity, and a shorter game time is nice too. This combined with the great supporting story convinced me that it would be worth giving it a shot.

As it stands I have no army but I will build one over the coming months. I'm interested in creating a Gondor Osgiliath force. However, I'll probably spend some time painting the fellowship relearning skills before leaping into an army. I joined these forums as I saw them as a good place to potentially find opponents in the future, so if your in the Wellington area let me know.

I started with LotR, picked up the other GW games, and then dropped them in frustration since they couldn't hold a candle to LotR.
