Post subject:  Back Again
Hello after a hiatus of about 5 years ive decided to get back into the Hobby! i went down to the local hobby store and asked where the lotr sbg pieces were only to be told the game was discontinued and gone! oh how i was sad. so i jumped on here and tried to find out the truth, im still not entirely sure what has happened to the game. Other than GW has stopped producing some miniatures in metal. Anyways im quite enjoying painting again and will post some pictures of my new work as soon as i finish my picture diorama!

Which store was that? That's really weird of an employee to say, you'd expect them to at least say "the game's evolved into the Hobbit sbg", and then probably try to sell you the EfGT box set. Metal miniatures have been replaced by Finecast (resin), although I read somewhere on here that they might be getting rid of Finecast and making it all plastic.

It was in Red Deer, Alberta ya they basically were selling off the last of there blister packs. And advised me to not buy the hobbit stuff because they aren't coming out with anything new. So I've been on eBay buying up stuff because I thought the game was going extinct and I wanted to get as many units as I could lol.
