I do hope you cover that lot up and don't let the sun shine directly upon them for long periods when they are not actually in use. Direct sunlight can do funny things to some paints and plastics. |

I see so many people using Valejo paints. I'm kind of noob to paints (not painting) as I just started my paint collection which is made of GW paints. Are Valejo superior in anyway? Or is the just personal preference? Thanks. |

Post subject: | What's your Painting Setup? |
I'm not sure if this is the right secttion to post this in. But I was curious as to what other people's painting stations/setups looked like, I couldn't find a thread like this so thought I would start one up. Here is my setup, I've just set this up today on a bigger surface, used to only use the surface as big as the tile, but I've dedicated my desk to it and my computer has been moved aside. I like still having my computer accessible at my station as it means I can look up guides, inspiration, and watch films while painting a lot easier. My setup with a whole view, I like to have my models setup as after getting rid of nearly all of them a few years ago when I stopped the hobby I have very little left. Then a close up of my painting station, A few of my old foundation paints that didn't dry up as well as the washes. And then all my new paints (aswell as my current project, see my WIP) It would be great to see some of you guys painting setups aswell, so feel free to show them. Admin if this is in the wrong section, then could you please move it to the right section for me. Cheers. |

Here is my updated workspace. Its the same as before, only now in clean. I've improved the lighting quite a bit with some extra lamp and a strip of leds. The light is near white, very soft and with virtually no heat, wich is great in hot summer days. The paint racks are just a foamcore placeholder for now, but it does the job I suppose. My idea is to improve the design a bit to hold basic tools and brushes, water pots and suck. I also hope to make a photobooth in the corner, still considering some options. |

Funny you mention that because I was just now in that site tinkering about buying a few sets and a couple minis... when I saw the sum I closed the tab real quick and gave up for a few minutes. I do need some browns and greens though. lol Are the paints any good? Been reading all sorts of amazing reviews about the metallics and inks. |

Miguel, check my blog, I have done a review on their Unnatural Flesh set. They are fantastic paints, I have 6 sets now, the wood and leather, both NMM, Orc and Goblin, the black and white - fantastic paints, I love them. The pigments are ultra fine so stand thinning for glazing perfectly. The metals I haven't got just yet but I can imagine how good they are with the fine pigments. I'm sold on them, the colours are sufficiently different to Vallejo and GW. Each set comes with a guide that can help on how the colours work together. |
