I was scrolling between my last vacation's picture when I came accross this one... The little piece of scenery and the way the light falls at the back needs no words to describe the scene I had in my mind... Austria, Brandnertal, near the "Glingabrunnen"

Hey everyone, I thought I'd show some pictures of the lovely natural areas, suronding Las Vegas. These are from a hike I took in Red Rock Canyon last year. Enjoy!

Very Nice Josh, especially if its so close to you. I walk out of my house and am rather amazed at a large nest of wasps 
that would be brilliant to have close to me!

Hey guys, found some more pics, these are from last winter, so they are cool this time, Dave. 
This is Mt. Wilson, the second highest peak in Red Rock. It's 7,074 feet high. 
Rainbow Wall is a 1,000 ft near vertical wall! It's above 6,000 ft in elevation. 
Bridge Mountain is the peak on the left, it's one of the best hikes in the nation. 
Mt. Wilson, Rainbow Peak and Rainbow Wall from left to right. I have a lot more pics from older hikes but I'm having trouble finding them. Hope you guys like them.

Indeed.
It's a real pleasure getting to hike in Red Rock, it's a very beuatiful place. And the fact thatit's within 10 minutes from my house is a bonus.

Well, I must give credit where credit is due, my Dad took quite a few of the pics. I did take the first two and one or two of the second post. My Dad took the really nice one of Bridge Mountain, he's a great photographer. Like I said before, I've got quite a few of older hikes, and if anyone wants to see them I'd be happy to post them when I find them. I also have pictures of another natural area near, Vegas, it's called Mt. Charelston. It's an alpine area with peaks going close to 12,000 ft., it has lots of pine forests and such as well, it's very beuatiful. I may also be able to scrounge up pictures of Zion National Park. So, ask and ye shall recieve.

Nice Pictures Josh. I envy you for thescenerythat is on your doorstep, the best I can do in the Netherlands is a flat field with cows.. Scary how much it looks like the real thing Jack! I'm updating this soon with some photo's of France's coast. |

Yeah, but the Netherlands has culture, all Las Vegas has is... well I'm sure you can imagine.
Like I said guys, I'll try to get some more up soon, Red Rock, and Charelston.
