Yeah its great ! I own the design book, so have seen most of it, but it gives good inspiration for painting and converting. Its also Clear that the scene where the giant wyr worms dissapear was not only ridiculous but also not intended from the start. I have seen many concept arts of a fight between those beasts and elves/dwarves. we also miss't out on palace guard on horse, but the knights are except for a low defense with wearing that many armor, still quiete nice. I love the white council drawings, these are brilliant! |

Really cool! Always amazed by the Weta Team. Pity so many nice designs were not in the film. You can see Dian's boar was supposed to have tusks, and the Iron Hill dwarves rode rams and had horns on their helms. The battle sketches are far more epic and gritty than the real ones. The final designs that were chosen for film were lame however. |
