A couple of items of interest at the Royal Armouries in Leeds, UK: Four swords from the films - Glamdring, Narsil, Strider's sword and Sting - are on display. http://www.royalarmouries.org/events/calendar/2012-12-13/the-swords-of-middle-earth Also this weekend there's a seminar on weapons and film-making that includes Weta: http://www.royalarmouries.org/events/calendar/2013-10-20/weapons-and-the-movies The sword exhibition lasts until February but Sunday 27th October this year would be a good time to visit as that's when the FIASCO wargames show is being held at the same venue. |
