I woke up today to find two large boxes on my porch. A friend in the UK decided that he no longer wanted his LOTR collection. He offered it to me. I said sure, figuring that it was a few blisters and sets. How much could shipping be from the UK? So, he sends me a bill for 70 pounds shipping, which I happily pay. The two cartons contained all 3 large army sets (Fellowship, TTT, ROTK), Mines of Moria and a Mumakil, all mint in unopened boxes. And 40 or so other unopened boxes!!! Both metal and plastic. And 50-60 unopened blisters!!! I can hardly believe my eyes. It's almost the entire GW catalog. Balrog, Ents, FellBeasts, Trolls with catapults, Bolt Throwers and all the tough characters including lots of OOP's. The Breaking of the Fellowship in METAL, in an unopened box. I've been hunting that one forever!!! Lots of Eastern and Southern forces. Chariots, Camels and an Elephant! I'm still stunned at the sheer volume of his collection. and I am so grateful for his kindness. I'm just so stoked. Merry Christmas to ME!!!! |
