Pretty sure we had a thread like this but I can't find it on a search.

Anyway, post any bargains you find on ebay for LOTR/Hobbit that you think people will be interested in.

For people in Australia, here's a cheap box of the three trolls worth checking out....well not cheap but a lot cheaper than RRP.

It's nice of you to sell so cheap. I hope you get a buyer. I'm not that keen on the Hobbit trolls, otherwise I might have bitten!

They are lovely models, having gotten mine for so cheap I was quite glad I ended up getting them. Hopefully going to get a battle in over spring break using them. The only think I think people could be put off by them is the amount of skin, but that's true with a lot of evil models.

Also known as...EXPENSIVE.

Man I hope someone accidently finds and avertises my auctions when I put them up in a few days. Im offloading almost all of my trade list in the coming weeks.

By the way I dont know what you've guys have seen or got for your best deal, but I picked up a box of trolls and knights of rivendell from the same buyer for about 80 USD TOGETHER with shipping. Thats a good deal. And I got a huge lot of Uruk Hai including two siege ballistas, and 100+mixed reg troops captains banners elites for about 150 USD.

I missed the best ever auction though that I saw. Two best in fact.

About 220 for almost all of mordors wraiths a troll or two tons of orcs some elites all gorgeously painted for that amount. A fell beast.....all of the orc heros....god was it well painted too if I remember.

I still remember that.

And I missed a lot by 1 day for only 200 a troll with catapult a fell beast with wraith a ton of orcs, elites every here all primed black and a bunch more stuff. I calculated the store price....it was worth around 800 dollars. Damn.

Some of these peoples' prices amaze me though. Ive had words on there with some sellers just asking for a few dollars off some items or something.

Some people charge outrageous amounts.

Forgive me if im wrong, but isn't 23£ for 9 oop Haldirs elves pretty cheap? I converted it to canadian dollars and it came to just over 42$, seems like a good deal to me....

I have no problem with topics like this one per se, many people can get interested and that is perfectly fine. But does it really fit to the News & Rumours section? :)

Yeah I understand you. I used to feel the same way, then I started bidding more. Ive won a lot of cool auctions since then. Keep trying. You have to shell it out man. You said it yourself its very rare!

Gosh, tell me about it.

I've always wanted a Wildmen of Dunland warband for my Isengard force but I just can’t bring myself to pay a ridiculous amount of money for a squishy troop type.

A good tip when searching for that special mini you crave is to misspell the name. I scored the OOP Suladan just by spelling it wrong. Someone had listed it with the misspell.

I totally understand you. I considered buying a warband or two for a tournament because they are easy models to tie up and provide extra attacks but I said screw it eventually.

Attention Australians!

They're cheap now. Every chance they'll get expensive as bidding progresses but worth a gamble if you're keen.
