Hi there, I'm a bit in trouble here. I'm pretty unhappy with the Games Workshop painting range with green colours and especially dark greens. All of the dark green colours from Citadel tend to have a little too much blue in it. I'm currently trying to give a good basecoat to Faramir's Rangers but I can't seem to get the colours right which is frustrating. I've bought a couple of base colours from Citadel but they're all just way too 'blue' if you understand what I mean... Is there anyone that had the same frustrations and could help me with some advice on what to do? I've mixed up some paints already but I have a feeling I have the wrong base colours to begin with... |

As an easy and cheap "fix" for the problem you could balance out the blue saturation by adding VERY SLIGHT amounts of yellow. You could also consider adding a small amount of brown wash to the mix to keep out the bright tones. |

Ah! I did try out the brown wash but I didn't think of adding a tiny bit of yellow. That's a clever option. I'll have a go with that! |
