What is the best way to do this in steps? Ive seen for example green dol guldur orcs and like blue minos tirith and other armor. Not the clothing....just coloring the armor into the silvers and other colors. |

Are you interested in painting the different types of armor with metallic paints or in a NMM fashion? |

I tried various stuff with my models: -The usual mixing a metallic paint with a colour. -Tried painting on the metallic paints first, highlights and shading included, then applied washes of a coloured paint. Turned out great for my Warhammer Witchking. -I've done colour layering on my Swan Knights and added varnish over on top. Turned out good. -I think I've mixed varnish with colour before but don't remember how that turned out. Those were all the methods I used when making coloured armour. Never tried NMM before, don't have the patience for it. |

As asked earlier, you need to ask yourself, what style are you looking for? TMM, NMM, base/wash/highlight? |

Honestly no style. I literally just want whatever style or attempt will result in the nicest blend of color and armor together if that makes it simpler. |

So you aren't talking about technique but colored armor? |
