Man, I love the sculpts and what not but I really wish the trolls weren't so big :( It just sorta feels needlessly extra expensive and doesn't fit with the scale of the older models, which just feels off to me and would have been so easy to keep the same size as well as knock off 10-15$ off the cost.

Goats are cool too! I also wish the Dwarf captain didn't have the cape. Feels weird. They didn't have them in the movie did they? Maybe convert a regular warrior with like a grim hammer captains head or something.

Hey, that Troll is properly scaled to the film unlike most of the LotR monsters - Mordor Trolls, Treebeard, Ents, Fell Beasts, the Balrog, Great Eagles etc even Mumak are all under-scaled. It's nice to have a big monster in it's proper scale, at least it is in my opinion.

I don't remember caped Dwarves either.

Fair enough. It sucks though they'll be so much bigger then the rest of the monster :(

I wouldn't put it past FW to do just that - after all they started by doing extra large tanks and titans for 40k.

So, does anyone have a good thought on when to expect the Ram Riders?
I know there hasn't been an official word yet, but just curious since I personally hoped Jan/Feb.

Dam they look so good but a little disappointed with the price. The forgeworld pricing has been pretty good so far but unfortunately I'll only be getting 6 of these guys instead of 12.

I will say these new forgeworld minis are of real high quality, some of the best minis in the hobbit range.

Just about to put by first forgeworld order through I am addicted to collecting!
