Gandalf's vision is mentioned in the final appendix - he sees it in the palintir in the Dol Guldur courtyard. As Paradigm says; buy it, watch it, especially the appendices. |

They also almost had Gandalf chase Sauron into Rhun, but that unfortunately got cut down to just Saruman saying my sig. |

Speaking of which, they cut an AWESOME scene where Beorn fights a troll that's easily 30' tall and ends with him ripping it's throat out and roaring his success. They cut it from the theatrical because the CG wasn't finished, but I'm super disappointed that it wasn't in the extended. |
