Just wanted to share a photo of my Rangers, Finished these last weekend. Includes, Faramir, a Damrod proxy model (until I find or buy another) & 22 plastic & oop metal rangers. The bases have been magnetised (3mm – 2mm or N35 size magnets used.) to help prevent chipping of paint during travel, also the lovely looking Tufts are from WWSenics. Really chuffed with how these turned out.

Very nice!

I have a box of the plastic rangers, and I'm wondering if I should bother getting hold of some of the older metals - do you think it's worth it or are the plastics good enough?

I've used a mix of both. I guess it truly depends on personal taste. I quite like them both. They all blend well together.

I agree, they do look quite good. I do think it would be nice if you cleaned up the rims of the bases though. You don't have to paint them brown, just a quick coat of black will do the trick. It'll make them look a lot cleaner and more complete as a whole.
Good job!

Yeah cheers, they are already painted black, i paint all my rims black. I think when this was taken some of the model bases contracted a bit of dust & flock.
