I'm not sure where this post belongs, but here goes:
I just found this version of Halbarad.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/141911825482? ... EBIDX%3AIT

The price is ridiculous but apparently this model sells for a lot... Would anyone consider buying it? What is the most expensive models you've bought/sold?

This model doesn't even have a profile... Halbarad has no warhorn option and this is the banner of Aragorn, not the banner of Arwen Evenstar (I would say the same about the other banner as well, but I might be mistaken..?).

Let's talk about this :dizzy:

Well there are some serious completer/collectors out there. This model has been advertised at these sort of prices for quite some time now, I'm sure the market for it at that price must be tiny, and many that are obsessive will likely have already picked him up when on general release.

Be glad you are not a timpo colour variation collector, such figures are often up for double the halbarad price !!! :o

Wow that is crazy, I have just checked and I have this mini. I think I'm going to sell it to fund some of my forgeworld purchases!

You can *ask* any price you like, let me know if someone actually *pays* that for the model.

If you want to see an even more expensive miniature I would be happy to sell you one of my plastic moria goblins for ten grand. See? Now Halbarad isn't the most expensive miniature you've ever seen.

I think the last one on eBay sold for just over £100 so no way will anyone get that price

Yea looked into previous sales on ebay all looks about 80-120 pounds. Very much doubt those 400 ones will sell.

Crazy prices. Is one 28mm mini really worth even £80 regardless of rarity? (unless it is cast in gold)

Firstly, as mentioned above, what's more relevant is what prices are actually paid for such items rather than what somebody would want to get for it.

Secondly, here's a proper recordholder: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nuln-Spearman ... 7675.l2557
Yes, that says £1,370.00. Sold, at £1370.

Apparently, this is the version I have too. I think I paid $10 for it. Mine's new in blister.

Yeah... I have that barded horse version of Eomer too, which I also paid that for. I'm going to be listing them in the near future. Bear in mind I've been collecting since Gimli was a wee little lad/or since you could buy individual models and pieces from Citadel. So nostalgic for those days. I wish I'd bought so much more...

The one I really wish I had is Mounted Faramir in barding; I just love that model. I also like the Pelenor Fields version of Theoden. It's available in finecast, so I keep hoping Faramir will make the conversion. I really do want a metal version of both for my collection, though, especially since original armoured Theoden's horse is going to become a kitbash with mounted Eomer to make a version of that expensive Eomer with barding. Some one on TLA did this kitbash and it looks great!
