Unexpected repairs on one of my minis meant I couldn't get them finished in time :(. I shall start a WIP thread instead :D.

whoa. The shield is unbelievable. Is that freehand? The cape highlights are incredible too. Are these from The Hobbit releases?

I had to scramble to get this done, but hopefully it doesn't show too much.

Thanks man! Yeah, all the wood grain and battle damage on the shield is freehand, as is the grain on the spear, and the designs on the cloak, inside and on back.

Yeah, Hobbit BoFA release. This was the first command unit that Forge World put out for the Iron Hills line they are working on!

Incredible freehand work. It really takes the models over the top by adding so many layers to the models. I'll have to check out forge world.

I have painted up Saruman and Elrond as part of a white council warband. Would these count? Also, the before pictures are from their ebay listings, but they were both purchased about 10 days ago. Is this a problem?

Apologies I didn't see this. It would have been fine. Shoot me a PM next time.

No worries mate. I'll just have to paint something up for the next challenge. A reason to paint even more minis is never bad. :-D
