Had to go with Barks. I almost went with Valpas until I saw the amount of hobbits that Barks had painted. Well done.

Barks. Great entries, all of them, but still, painting so many hobbits in such quality so quickly. I'm stunned. :yay:

Short Strider for me - those models suck to paint and you've done a might fine job with it. Really hard to appreciate how hard those guys are to make look good until you've tried to paint one for yourself which I have recently and it was one of the toughest models I've painted to date. Well done sir - excellent job!!!

I've gone for Valpas' Bilbo- the coat lapels get me every time...

I really like the cloak on SouthernDunedain's Frodo, and Short Strider's Bilbo is so cute with the flowers... special mention to SidTheSloth's sculpting!

Difficult choice (again), but had to go with Barks' Hobbits, really impressive quality and volume!

I'll be struggling to paint that many of the new goblins in a month.

Great entries as per usual. I'm going for Barks because the highlights are spot on and there's just loads of figures.

Aye, congrats to Valpas. And thanks to whoever voted for me. Looking back I really should have spent some more time on his face, it really needed some more definition (shadows). Oh well, that's what happens when you only spend an hour or so on a figure....

Thanks guys! Well done all who finished their entries and congratualtions especially to Barks who made this an extremely tight vote. I voted for you myself and if Gothmog had not been too late it would have been a tie!

Thao, you really need better pics next time. It looks like your painting is really good but to really show it, the pics need more light and get rid of that yellow tint. You have the painting skill, now get the photos on par with it! 8)
