Got an armoured Haldir laying around somewhere... maybe this is my chance to get a break from painting Easterlings and Orc's.
Hold on... Haldir's red cloak and gold armor, sounds Easterling-like to me.

Its not a conversion - I have the exact same pose somewhere around. I think it's from the breaking of the fellowship set (now discontinued), but I can't be sure, as I got mine in an online auction.

It can't be, it has the upper body of the mounted legolas, cape of the helms deep one and the legs seem swapped with the first ever legolas model!

It's the Ambush at Amon Hen Legolas, I have the exact same model... somewhere. As soon as I can find any Legolas I'll enter, just don't know where they are

Definitely not a conversion, sorry meatboy.

In other news, since the competition opened I've so far only painted the skin on my Legolas entry, plus the skin on Legolas and Gimli mounted. Won't post pics of that work yet, it'd be a little embarrassing to look at compared with BizzareWarstar and MMS at the moment... couldn't live with myself...

It is the Amon Hen one, look:

I don't own it myself but it is fairly similar to the Helms Deep Legolas, minus the armour and the rock underfoot.

Yes it's still available for purchase via Direct Mail and it does resemble the Helms Deep pose very closely, but is a different model entirely as shown.

Wow looks like I've picked a bad month for my first painting challenge, amazing work guys! Looking forward to seeing them all finished :) I don't have any photos but I've finished the gold armor, cloak and sculpted the base for Haldir so far, hoping to finish in time!

@RedCorsairs: Cheers mate! Good to see a familiar face from back in the day!

Anyways, an updated version of Legolas. I've finished the jerkin and cloth, so it's just boots, weapons, undershirt and flesh to go!

Cheers!

nice job Haildir_Strikes

umm, can you tell me your recipe for the lighter green on your legolas?

I'm just looking into different stuff and I really like your shades.

thanks

Geez, to many good entry's again! It will be hard again to pick a winner.. I will make a picture of legolas later on, forgot to upload the finished off version here. Since the light wasn't good on the picture.

Great to see so many awesome wips and also already finished entries! Here is my proof pic:

I'll need to paint three characters for this challenge, hopefully I can finish it in time.
