A couple of the images need resizing as the whole thing does not fit on the page. I'm currently working on having them resized so that they fit on the page however my Photobucket image resize isn't working at the moment so I'll have to manually do it if it doesn't work this time. If you want to wait until image sizes are fixed to vote, feel free to do so.

I think we'll have an image size restriction for future challenges, probably 640 pixels length, height is not so much of a problem as it doesn't cut parts of the image off, but after about 640 pixels wide, the remainder of the image is cut off. At least it is on my screen. I've resized them myself in previous challenges, but a size restriction would make it easier.

All images that needed resizing have now been edited so there should be no problem in voting now (other than deciding which of all of the brilliant entries to choose).

It was a tough call between Dead Marsh Spectre, Minimal Monkey Saddle, PowerofWill, and Haldir_pl. I had to be very critical, but in the end I went for MMS. I chose his because, in my opinion, his model fits best into the real Middle-Earth, and that's most important for me. :)

My vote had to go with Dead Marsh Spectree because the entire model was exectuted perfectly. :D The painting is of the highest standard, thje scenic base was very nice,a nd the freehand writing was an excellent touch well done. 8)

Also, well done to all the others, Haldir.pl and Minimal Monkey saddle would take 2 and 3 for me. Well done to all. 8)

I adjusted the contrast of my Glorfindel photo, cos it turned out rather bad. Especially next to the crisp clear pics of my worthy competitors. If you still can substitute the above pic with this, I'd be grateful.

A lot of nicely painted elves, good job to everyone.

edit: Hey I think we're missing Jobu's entry...

Well, I had to go with Haldir's arwen, such a stunning model. The base was also very well done, only rivaled by DMs's base. Wow, you two can really make a hero stand out with your basing (and painting) skills! :yay:

There are 3 really excellent examples here (the rest are pretty good but not quite in the same class) so I found it a tough and tight decision. Which I am not disclosing :P
Very well done folks!

Had to go for Spectre's Glorfindel. The other Glorfindels (except Bilbo's. just not liking the red cloak) were amazing, but the base really set him apart as from the book. He looks like he's charging at the Nazgul to free up the bridge. PoW's Gil-Galad was great, but I don't reall like the model that much. As a king of the elves, he could have been in a better pose.

Tough choice. There's a lot of really great stuff there. 3 clear front runners but a lot of really nice stuff. Bizarre's Haldir looks so much like the movie character!

Man, I thought I might actually have a chance of getting a vote in this one, which I guess I still could, but I doubt it at this point. Oh well, maybe the next time.

I still have no idea who I'm going to vote for though, everyone has done an incredible job, so I might be a while with my vote. Goodjob everyone!

This was a very tough decision.
It was a three-way tie between PowerofWill's Gil-Galad, Dead Marsh Spectre's Glorfindel, and Haldir_pl's Arwen.
PoW has some great use of highlights and some fantastic free hand.
DMS, your base is absolutely superb and the paint job is outstanding!
Haldir_pl. This is an amazing first-time paint challenge entry! The blending is smooth and the choice of colours suits her well!

In the end, I chose Haldir_pl's Arwen. The first-time entry tipped the scale for me.
Are's B was very close as well. The amount of details you had to paint onto the model was worth the effort. Great work! 8)

Everyone else did a tremendous job on their entries! :yay: Sadly, I couldn't join the ranks as I had no eligible model to paint. But I will be joining the Nov. Challenge!

My my, what did I get myself into. I thought I'd stand a chance in this one. Nope.

Well, it looks like a bit of a wait before the next challenge I enter as November is Orc Shaman month. Maybe December.

If it's any consolation for you, I was very closely considering to vote for your model. In the end I had to go for DMS though. And apparently I'm not the only one here who has considered you as the runner up by reading other people's posts.

DMS, brother, that is a tough model to beat...I had to vote for you.
