Thanks :) . To tell the truth, I was quite surprised how easy the flames were to paint.

Well done George, some nice work there :). I told you you could paint well if you tried ;P.

This should be my entry:

In all honesty I have to say it's not completely finished. I plan to add some snow on the base later, after seeing Alan's Eagle-base...
Oh, and a minor detail... the back of the wings is still only Knarloc Green basecoat  I could try to finish it this evening, but it will be dark soo soon that no time would be left to take decent pics and other then that, the evening is just too hot and nice to settle myself behind my painting-table...
It'll be more like... bbq-time and lean-back-time and drinking-time :-)

Meanwhile I've seen some awesome monsters here!! I'll have a hard time to vote again!
Well done everyone! 8)

Ok, here's Smaug's third cousin twice removed, in his final glory. Lacking varnish though, the one time a shiny varnish would look good...

The skulls on the ground are from the good old Hero Quest game.

Here is my finished (angry) troll loader (albeit with a few open wounds and a handy spear).

Some really fantastic monsters here - going to be difficult to pick a winner!!! I'm kind of jealous I didn't submit one now, it would be an honour to be displayed alongside such amazing entries :)

Are we on a specific time zone for the deadline? Or is it based on the time stamp?

It's 19:41 local time (Eastern). I'm giving myself 4 hours and 19 minutes to get a clear picture. :P

I'm no fan of smilies but... Spectacular monsters! and painted to such a high level too, savage stuff. It's going to take some time to mull over each of them.

Bah! Still nothing better than lame phone pics. We haven't gotten a replacement for our camera yet and my friend can't get here before Monday to take pics for me. :(

Well...I wanted to at least post my finished product, even if you can't see it very well. :-X I'll at least post some nice pics early next week separately when they're taken. I am trying not to get too upset because I never had an expectation of scoring votes compared to some of the work here. It really is a well done model, a smooth conversion, and I'm absolutely thrilled with it, but it's not the eye-grabber of the drake and dragons for example or as much stand-out detail as a troll.

Everyone's monsters look amazing. Voting will be impossible. Beowulf - bummer about the camera, but the sculpt is brilliant and the overall effect comes through. Wah wing - I really think you have outdone yourself with that Troll - fantastic painting, great work on the skin. IS - I know how you feel about not getting things completely finished, but it still looks great - highlighting on the scales is excellent work and with a few more trinkets on the base the final model will be superb. PoW - fantastic work on the troll's skin - much better than my version of the MoM cave troll. Spuds - another brilliant troll, especially the skin tones. AresB - the most awesome work I have seen from you, the copper toning on the scales is outstanding. Bbrewer - superb painting, the mauve works really well on that model, fantastic base too.

It's going to be tough to beat BW's Huron conversion, but it's great to have so many awesome monster to chose from.
