I am adding URL to my profile to put the avatar I want but it doesn't work... I am sure lot of people have the same promblem when they were new here...

If you want to guarantee the image to work when entering the URL then upload the desired avatar image to an image hosting website like Photobucket, then use the URL they give you.

What URL are you using?

One from imageshack...
I tried photobucket but still it says the URL is invalid... :(

Are you including the IMG tags? If so you only use the direct link, no tags needed.

Could you post here a link to the image you're trying to use please? I might be able to spot the problem.

also have you put in the size in the 2 boxes below url address box ?
