I was thinking of starting my own WIP thread to help motivate me to get more painting done, but was wondering if you are allowed to post WIPs for projects which are not related to LOTR.

I have also recently purchased a lot of Edo era Japanese historical models, so rather than having two WIP threads (one for my LOTR models in the WIP forum, the other for these in the non-LOTR Talen Showcase forum, which is what other people seem to do), I thought it may be better just to combine them into a single thread. I read the forum guidelines, which don't explicitly state that you can't, but I don't know for sure whether this rule would be assumed.

Sorry to revive an old thread...

It is true that the Forum Guidelines aren't explicitly clear about it, but it would be better to keep the LotR related material in the WiP forum, and the non-LotR in the Showcase...
