A tournament is being organized in Italy by Il Sito dell'Anello - Il Drago Verde. :yay:

Date: April 22nd, 2018
Location: Bassano del Grappa (northern Italy)

The organizers said me that's open to everyone from everywhere.

Really nice an event, characterized by the friendliness and sportiness of all participants. Even a couple of those I know best, and who in the private of their home matches... ah-hm! are used to shout out really everything, I saw here cashing with a smile both destruction of their favorite units and disappointing dice-throws.

For me, a mediocre result in the classification; but I deserved it, if not even asked for that. I wanted to deploy a huge army, 43 companies of Mordor, but without mages (photos 13 and 18 in the link). So I learned that what is winning in eight turns and 4-5 hours of game, can prove to be absolutely poor in a match of but two hours: there's not even the time for all to deploy and enter battle! Add to this my mistakes, the skill of my opponents, and the disarming devastation their mages brought to me.
A couple of positive experiences. I rediscovered trolls, and more generally the Hard to Kill monsters; a couple of them, kept in the second line to hide them from enemy archers, can be decisive by counter-charging front line fights. Moreover I'm very proud of my Uruk-hays of Mordor, 4 companies with 2 handed weapons and captain; only one undefeated unit in my losing army, they covered themselves in glory in all three matches!

An applause to the organizers, it's overall thanks to them if WotR still flickers of life in spite of its abandonment from Games Workshop.

Excellent!

Too bad you didn't use the T³ service to register your tournament!

You're right. I submitted this option to the organizers but something has gone wrong. Next time, certainly we will! 8)

We are attempting to organize a WotR tournament in Italy for the current year too, perhaps in Bologna.
Stay tuned.

I'm currently waiting for they approval; but I used the lesser option, not the T3 one. What's the difference?

Breaking news.
It seems that Gothmogthewerewof's Adds-on for The Hobbit range figurines will be in use in the tournament for the players, as possible allies.
