Hullo everybody!

Yesterday I was playing a nice game of WOTR and we were discussing if a artillery piece(either catapult or siege bow) can rotate?

Example: A siegebow is not allowed to move once being deployed.. But can it still rotate on it's position so it can aim at a certain direction before shooting???????

If not it would seem that artillery has a huge disadvantage and the enemy could easily evade your line of fire if the field is big enough.

Unfortunately artillery cannot rotate. That's why you have to be canny when you place them, not only to ensure they get a good line of sight but that they also aren't likely to be flanked.

If you can get them on a hill in a corner that's usually the best place for them, either that or inside defensible terrain (which will then give you 360 degrees line of sight AND a few extra defensive points)- however you can't guarantee either of these. With defence of 8 they can pretty much take care of themselves though.

Failing that, you could put 2 side by side so you have a larger coverage of possible advancement angles.
