Very exciting! If I can work out a way to get pictures onto my computer, I think I'll actually enter this time around.

Okay, I probably just missed it, but when is the cut-off date for submissions. I have a couple projects in the works, and I would like to actually participate this time.

There is No one entry date, rather a month (september) when people enter their pieces. If you enter on the 1st of Septembet, or the 30th of september, that's entirely up to you.

Total Noob questions:

I assume I would qualify for the "beginner" category. What can I enter? Do I focus on just one mini? a group? a diorama? terrain? how much can we enter? Did I miss a thread with more details on the OR awards?

You need to register as a beginner, so we can keep it fair - the registration process is easy, follow the link: http://www.one-ring.co.uk/phpBB2/comp.php?mode=approve

Once approved, you can enter anything - a terrain piece, a single model, a group of models, a diorama, or a sculpt/conversion. There is only one category for beginners because, basically, we never seem to get very many entries for some reason.

But the Beginner's prize is certainly worth trying for (a bundle of blister packs; quite a few models in it actually, not sure exactly how many though, DurinsBane would know), so get painting/modelling/sculpting!

I was reading through the rules, and i'm still not quite sure whether or not we can enter in each catagory, or just in one..? I would like to enter most of 'em.

Dylan.

You can enter in each category, apart from the Beginners. Or vice versa, if you enter the beginners category you can't enter in the open categories that cover what's allowed for the beginners.

Well, yeah, I suppose. but the image size won't be large enough to show off an entire army, so I doubt that you would be able to do it justice. But yes, you could.

well total my armies are only around 630 pts, but thanks fer helpin

Author:  Potenza [ Thu Aug 14, 2008 6:41 pm ]

Keep in mind that only one picture is allowed. Showing a full army properly is therefore quite difficult. There's no rule preventing you from uploading a picture of your army, but it will have a hard time competing against single miniatures. A single picture is mostly well enough to show a miniature properly - which is not the case with a full army.
