Once again I have to ask wether competition committee would allow pics for dioramas & terrain above 800x800 128kb. It's a bit frustraiting bacause it's a hard work to put together some good diorama, and to show it's quality ,wel... it requires more than this. ;)

I hope you would consider my (and probably not just mine) request.

Cheers;)

You may have given up hope mate, but I think it's time to give Olofer some competition for once! :D

Hey, I've been more of a reader on this site, but I think I'd like to enter my very recently painted Gimli. I'd like to see how well I do in the Beginner's category. I will be entering formally, but just to clear things up, do I submit only one photo? Thanks in advance.

Help, I made this terrain piece especially for the OR awards, but I missed the part where it says you have to have some shots of the terrain piece under construction... Does this mean I cannot join at all?

Can't I take a picture of it with myself next to it or something?

Since lots of members are showing up which I've never heard of I would like to quote this section from the rules;

Quote:
2. To enter the One Ring Awards you must be a registered 'active' member and not have been banned from the One Ring site. A message will be displayed if you have. If so, you should contact the Admin team to find out why. If you have registered and are not banned and you still cannot log in then check and double-check your username and password. Usually this is the problem; if not, you should contact the site Admin team.

3. The competition is intended for members of the One-Ring community website and is not open to outsiders, so we are trying to discourage people from joining the site just to enter the competition. As such, we ask that entries are limited to only those members who are regular visitors in the forums, galleries, chatrooms and chatbox.

It's not my intention to draw attention to anyone, I just wanted to make sure that every contestant is aware of this. The committee checks the (available) history of all contestants...

@KnightOfRohan: you can enter formally as you wish, every beginner's entry will be judged by the committee anyway. We will decide wether your entry suits the Beginner's Category.

Secondly; yes, you submit only one photo. Every contestant has a restriction of one 800x800 (pixels) photo for his entry. You are allowed to combine several photo's within this single photo though. You can check the current entries in the Open Category to see what I mean.

@Lethiador: you can join if you wish, but the committee has the right to ask for WiP pictures. This rule is meant to keep cheaters and thieves away. If WiP pictures are demanded by someone of the committee and you can't provide them you might get excluded.

The thing itself still says "Fire".
I'm not worried, though, because the entry I'm putting up later today fits both ways. :wink:

@Lethiador,

The idea is to make sure everyone enters an original work that they have mde themselves, and not just a model they bought off eBay or from Forgeworld or something.

Go ahead and submit your entry and the committee will take a look at it and see if they need to ask for more proof that it's your own work.

Well, it's pretty much halfway into October.
May I ask what is going on right now with the competitions?

Certainly you can ask! Entries for the September competition have closed and voting is under way at the moment with about 1 or 2 hours to go before that, too is closed and the winners announced.

Congratulations to all the winners! Your models were excellent and very deserving of winning!
There were so many great entries that it was a very tough choice voting for the top three. Well done everyone!

You are not an idiot.

In a short while I think that an official 'And the winners are...' will be posted. Azog usually does this.

You can find out the results now by clicking on the 'Competition Categories' as if you were going to view entries for the competition. At the top of each category the voting results are shown.
