Just a quick piece of scatter terrain. Went into my wood bits box, put on a piece of mdf and added some ground cover. The best part of this was actually taking a match to the wood to get some realistic burned areas. :D

Now I have two burned houses.

Looking good man! I'm about to do some burnt farms myself for my Pelennor Fields board so thanks for the reference :D

Those look great. Did you paint them at all or use weathering powders or is that all just scorch marks? When you're done with Pelennor, I think they'd be great additions to the Trollshaws.

Thanks everyone. I first took an x-acto blade to the wood to get rid of the conformity , then I painted it like I would if it was a complete building. I then took a match to parts of it to get the scorch marks and detail the wood some more, finally I drybrushed some black paint on the rest of it.

Great part about building destroyed buildings is that you can build as much or as little as you want. If I had more complete pieces in my bits box I would have probably built the frame and roof beams as the only remaining parts after being burned. Maybe next time.

Nice! I like the detail on the ground, showing charred remains of the structure. Would never have thought about that before, but it really enhances the look. Nice job!
