 Post subject: Is woodland scenics fine ballast same as GW sand?

Hello, so yes I'd like to know from anyone who has used both products if the granules are the same.

I'm purchasing online and live miles from the nearest hobby store to check myself, so if anyone does know the answer to this, it would be a great help.

I like the size of the grains in the GW sand for bases and scenery, but for what you get at the price, it's just no. And I haven't found any sand that matches that size.

My friend, go to the nearest Home Depot and bring your GW sand with you.
They have playground sand, builders sand and various other sands.
And you can sift it through a screen if you wish.

One will match and you'll save lots of money.
