Has anyone used Das air-drying clay to produce figure trays for WoTR? My idea is that it could be rolled to a suitable thickness, cut to size on a flat sheet, holes punched in and left to dry. Then put card underneath and paint/decorate appropriately.

It may be a great way to get more randomised holes, e.g.to make Orc units look less uniform. I know there isn't much flexibility given the size of the trays, but it's worth a try.

DAS can be quite brittle on its own and probably isn't suited to a lot of handling during a game. I'd suggest you base it on 1mm thick cardboardn or plywood. That might help keep it rigid.

Also, if you punch holes through DAS on it's own, wouldn't the models fall through them when you pick up the movement tray?

I believe he was going to put a piece of cardboard under the hardened das to stop that from happening?
