What is the average size for a board on the 500 pts stage??

Depends a lot on the scenario played.
We play on a 4 foot by 4 foot board, but play scenarios, not to the death. For to the death type battles you don't really need that much space.
It also depends on how much cavalry you have. Obviously lots of cavalry need more room to play in =)
