Dont fold the paper. I realy hate seing folds in the backgrounds of photos. If you have to fold it try and hide the fold with some models. I use a simple piece of cloth draped over things so it naturaly hangs in a gentle curve for my background.

Also, putting a miniature with white in it against a white background isn't a good idea if you plan on Magic Wanding and deleting the background.
