Thanks. My friend Gleen painted the US late war tank in German colors because that is what they did in the old movies as proxies for German tanks.
Some how spell check keeps converting sambuca to sambuca

Only I have the Power of The BAZ00KA

I saw the Play unplugged interview over the weekend - Warlord had an open day over the weekend and there are many interesting photos and a few short videos floating about the Weird Wide Web.

For example -

Look at the HUGE Pegasus Bridge kit!

Just waiting for delivery of the stater set Assult on Normandy, spent weeks deciding on either Bolt Action or Flames of War, Bolt Actions 28mm scale won me other in the end. Didn't fancy painting 15mm!

Just read your blog on Warlord Games day, really interesting, must have been a good day. You have sold it to me, will be going next year.

Just got the "Assult on Normandy" Bix set, absolutely brilliant.

I got it and some other goodies. The Sdkfz251/1c and 251/10c go together very easily as does the plastic T34/85. I also assembled some prone Soviets as I want to get some of the Renedra bases for them - the guys with the PTRD anti-tank rifle need a long base.

And here is a flag-up from Beasts of War - Pegasus Bridge is coming:
http://www.beastsofwar.com/bolt-action/ ... us-bridge/
Click on the box art and the spiel below covers the lasercut scenery (bridge and some buildings, plastic and metal figures (guessing the plastics are the late war Germans and the metals are the paras) and there is some resin scenery too.
Looking at the box itself, it seems the paras were commanded by Sean Connery...

Expensive but stunning, and you get stacks for your money. Thinking about this one....

When I see sets like that I'm awed by the detail of the display. It really is epic--it could almost belong in a museum. But gaming-wise, cost-wise, I don't see what this has over Company of Heroes. It's just an exceptionally high price to recreate one battle.

Apparently a 15mm lasercut version of the kit will be available so anyone with Flames of War will be able to have a go in that game too - the model is done by another company, Warlord have obtained the 28mm version for their starter set.

Just wanted to say what a brilliant company Warlord is, had a pack of 3 WW2 German Soliders delivered, one head was missing, rang them up, had a nice chat about war gaming, the next day i had a 4 heads arrive in the post.

That is what you call brilliant customer service.

Just ordered my first troops. I pre-ordered the Soviet "codex" so I have a commisar but I'm finally getting some regular troops, a command squad and some Combat Engineers (really excited about them)

So with my birthday coming up I've finally amassed enough expendable cash to purchase enough BA units to play a game and I had a question for those with more xp with the game than myself:

When fielding a tank, is the only benefit to a regular or veteran tank the additional points of morale?
Obviously infantry are harder to kill as well when they are a higher level of veteran-ness but I couldn't find any secondary bonus to tanks

Veteran only gives you a morale boost to 10,the maximum you can go to. Even on vehicles, as far as I am aware.

What troops did you get?

The Russian 1000 point set and I'm deciding between either the German and US ones for an opposition force

That's the Russian set with the plastic T-34/85? I got it, built the tank - very neat, goes together quickly with no difficulty. I also got the Sdkfz 251/1 and 251/10, also plastic - again, kits for wargaming rather than modellers but they look perfectly fine. Warlord have the M3 halftrack in the works along with the plastic US Marines.
