Hah I've got something that is the most expensive!
Not a single product, but a whole space marine chapter:

Almost €10.000!

I can imagine one sad little man in the outskirts of London walking into his store and asking for that product. Then the manager looking at him quite strange, asking him if he is okay and then putting him in a straight jacket and carting off with 'The Riddler' & 'The Joker'

Marvelous EF!

Personally I would like to imagine a claxon going off and a load of flashing lights, and some somewhat dusty balloons released from some horribly stained suspended ceiling tiles above!

Absolutely incredible - both in terms of how cool it looks and how absurd the idea of buying it all is!

Like the battlefield deal on the previous page I can't help wondering who'd buy it? An avid collector who was into the hobby enough to pay that much is clearly going to have a lot of the models already whereas a new hobbyist starting a Space Marine army is hardly gonna start here are they?!?!

I suppose at least this deal has some unique features (the signed books/prints etc.) that might tempt a rich collector but you could always get those things signed at Games Day etc.

It would have to be for display too surely? I don't play 40K but can anyone give me an idea of how big an army that is points-wsie? You could surely never field them all.

Fun to look at though!

I suspect that who ever is willing to pay that much in one go has enough cash to pay a small team to paint it up.

8l

Even in a whole lifetime do you think anyone could paint that to a good standard???

'hmm... I've decided I don't really like this colour scheme, I think I'll start over' :o

I don't think I've ever seen such a waste of money in all my life...

Personally I think the miniatures are painted to a superb standard, but in a ridiculous childish colour that makes them look totally un-warlike and somewhat like lego men!

I can't agree with you there, the ultramarines look very good and warlike. Of course you don't have to paint them that way, there are hundreds of paint schemes for Space Marines. (Salamanders, Dark Angels, Blood Angels, White Scars, Grey Knights)

Though the price is way too high. I can't see why anyone would buy it, it's too expensive for a starter and an experienced player would most likely have many of the models already...

Does anyone really fancy doing the maths though? It's quite a cool idea but just too expensive for almost everyone! I've always thought it was a shame when they stopped doing the Lord of the Rings box sets for individual factions and I'd loved to have seen a battle of Pellenor Fields box complete with 6,000 riders of rohan and 80,000 orcs for £10x10^47! Things like that aren't supposed to be sold I don't think, they're just there to be awe inspiring and get people excited.

I saw someone on Facebook who said you saved about £30-40. But considering the signed stuff you get with it (exclusive) you can probably say the saving is £100+.

@SouthernDunedain I was just going to say that, in the bundle you get signed art prints the chapter organisation chart (who does what) A signed copy of the Codex: Space Marines ¢20-30 and some more so you could say you get about 60 bucks on stuff extra..

Yet still it is a ridiculous price and I doubt if anyone would ever even think about buying it...
