I finished up my new King of the Dead and Heralds:

Image

I don't think the painting job is very noteworthy (albeit fine for tabletop). But I did do something which seemed worth sharing, in that they are floating above the base via little bits of support cut from paper clips. (I hope the elevation shows in the picture.)

I don't think it makes a great deal of difference with the Heralds, with their relatively static poses and flat bases.

But I really like what it does for the King in his more dynamic pose. I took the opportunity to rotate him forward slightly, which I think improves the pose from looking like he's got a back itch to looking like he's actually charging in.

Nice to see you in the WIP section, Dave. I really like the conversion you did to make them float. They look pretty floaty in the movies and the minis don't really capture that at all so I think it is a nice touch to make these three stand out. I look forward to seeing more updates out of you (assuming you plan on sharing your hobby progress with us)!

Thanks, Kuribo! Most of my painting isn't really share-worthy, but maybe I can do more posting. We can always use more content here.

Floatiness is a great idea, well done!
