Awesome collection you've got there. The bases are very well done!
Need to get on with painting my own White Council minis.

These are really nice, the added bits of colour really brings the wraiths to life (ironically) :)

Hey guys sorry for the long absence.....

First of thank you for the nice words!!

And a few words about the last year:

2016 was an amazing year for my hobby. Since the death of WHFB at the hands of GW I startet to introduce Lotr as a possible alternative to our beloved game to our gaming group.

I have been playing Lotr since i was 12 (im 26 now.....) on and off. At first it was hard to convince our hardcore gaming group to the more relaxed playstyle of Lotr (it was hard for me as well after years of high end Warhammer tournament style play to come back to it) but by the start of 2016 I hab a handfull of friends convinced. And I'm happy to say more and more people gave the game a chance and now we are the majority at our club! Amazing!!

2016 i finished more projects then ever (more pictures to come soon!) and I got many comissions for complete army deals.

And we startet to invade the tournament scene in our country. A I mentioned we were mostly tournament players at our club and it was a natural next step. I went to five tournaments in the last months and I'm happy to say the outcome was very nice:

In my Tournament in Vienna i placed first. Then in Upper Austria i placed second. Then we organized a tournament on our own in Innsbruck. I placed third. Then in Oberndorf by Salzburg I placed first again. And lastly we held another one in Innsbruck and I got second place.

So:
1.
2.
3.
1.
2.

and that placed me at Rank 1 on the national Ranking. Amazing

So I'm very happy with the outcome of our tournament adventures. Our Team came out of nothing and now four out of the first five places are held by members of Team Tirol :yay:

But enough of my ramblings and on to some pictures.

My latest commission is finished:

And since the release of the new Hobbit rulebook I increased my Laketown army. Still only with mostly Perry historical figures. Updated the color scheme a bit for the old warriors.

What models are those with the red hats in the last picture? I really like them.

Love the Lake Town army, well painted and the miniatures are a great fit.

Thanks guys!

@billyboyd: They are conversions from Perry historical miniatures. The bodies are from french army box, the bows from the english army box from the 100Years range. And their hats are from napoleonic era French Line Infantry (optional heads on the sprue so most people won't use them)

I played Iron Hills since the old King Dain Model came out and now with the new range I'm planing to re-do my army. And with matching bases to their allies from Dale/Laketown/Esgaroth

To start here are some Iron Hills Warriors and a converted Captain.

Been a while since I popped in on your thread. Really love the captain conversion. The commission army is also really well done. Congrats on your success with your gaming group!

Lovely painting! 8) I've always loved the look of heroes on horses.

In the pictures of your Laketown army, which model is the one in the front row in the red dress and blue cape holding the spear?

Thanks!

@Wah Wing: It's my Hilda Bianca. The miniature is from Hasslefree and is called "Boudi". I made some small alterations (smaler spearhead, some long stockings and covering up her belly as it wouldn't be the wisest decision to go out like that in the cold north ;-))

Now we go east:

Image

Image

They were all painted up within a few days since we needed some Easterlings for a battle of Pelenor Fields scenario we made as a farwell for one of our gaming group since he moved away to another university so they are not perfect.

The difference between standard warrior and Black Dragon (the shield is also different)
