Thought I would share some of my current projects.
First up we have my slightly converted Uruk Scout as a tester for my new darker scheme for the scouts.
Image

Next up we have a pregreenstuff dwarf convesion.... KG body swapped with an archer. Will end up as some sort of hero, potentially a captain or a dwarf king. Absolutely no Idea what or how I'm going to equip him with weapon wise, I broke his axe pretty badly taking his head off.
No idea if I actually like this yet, intention is to sculpt him a nice cloak to cover up the wounds from where his arms have been severed from the previous pose, the axe handles are a bit thick for my liking but that one is glued and won't move so will probably have to say!
Image
Third in line we have...... My kings champion conversion. Cape will be added to cover arm removal reattachment scars, they just seem to be harder to sculpt than I anticipated :(
Image

Finally we have the first of my herald conversions! Headswap, will be adding a pretty flappy cape soon as possible.
Image

That's all for today!

Nice work on the conversions, the banner looks very smooth. The dark paint scheme works.

Thanks, the banner was actually rolled out for a cape and i got fed up trying to pose it and just made a banner instead!

Little bit more of an update, mainly filling gaps with some greenstuff, adding beards etc although I ingested a not inconsiderable amount of it in the process.

And we also have some painting, The first KG after I stripped a load of the old paint job! Was trying to avoid using gold because I don't really like it.

And some rangers I've been playing with recently.

I like the colours you've used on the rangers, slightly muted which is very effective on them.

Thanks for the comments!
The two rangers on the left were painted with Vallejo paints mainly, the blue seems to be a lot more matt than the two on the right which are citadel paints and seem to be a bit shinier. Not sure which one I prefer really!

Been having a little go with this guy tonight, cut his arm away from his body for a repose. Sculpted beard over where the arm was previously positioned. Arm pin is currently too long but it's not glued and that's tomorrows job. Khazad axe is probably going to have the top taken off and turned into a nice one handed axe and I may or may not add a shield onto the left arm. He's will become either a dwarf king armoured to match his bodyguard, or maybe just a captain. I like the idea of a king with throwing axes as the KG single handed weapon is still visible on his side. managed to completely ruin his left hand so need to find a suitable one or sculpt one. Which will be fun......

Nice start, I agree in taking the top half off the axe.

Another attempt at deciding on a non gold colour scheme for my KG. I like this one a lot more than the previous and think it's one of the better things I've painted recently :D

Just a quick update on some more of my KG that are coming along slowly, one on the left is the scheme prestripping that I must have painted when I first got the Balins guard set over 10 years ago!

Another update on my miscellaneous dwarf hero. He's going to either be a captain or a shieldbearer. Green work is pretty much finished apart from some more details that will go on his shield.
