Looking good. Orc conversions are almost necessary if you want a decent looking army of them. A time consuming and almost obsessive necessity though. You are doing great with yours.

So, here's some more conversion on the orc-pack. I really tried to give their weapons a rougher, more orcish look, because in my opinion the way they are in the box, they looked far too good for orc-blades. Hope that I have succeeded in this ^^
(Also please dont criticize me for the bad paint on some of them.. thats the way i got them from ebay. Hope the paint is not too thick, scratching it off didnt really work)

Anyway: Enjoy!

Orcs make great, err, targets :) And there's no point in turning up for a battle if there is no opposition now, is there? I like the conversions - they are fine. And making some of the orcs even more disreputable in appearance is absolutely in keeping with the atmosphere of Middle-earth.

Nice looking Orc conversions. 8)
I have quite a few of them to do myself if I ever get a quiet spell.

Those Orcs are nice. Good use of the overly long Great Beast-handling spear 8)

Thank you ukfreddybear! Definitely want to see your's when you start them!
And thanks to you too Gothmog. I had that spear in a box of bits I got cheap on ebay (hence the Harad weapons, and the Uruk drum comes from there as well).

Still not sure what to do with those spare Ent and troll parts.. another Ent shouldnt be too hard to create, but a troll? Hmm.. maybe I try instantmold to make a body.

Little update on my converted Uruks: Turns out the modelled arm for the axe-bearer is not that misshaped as I feared it to be. Nothing special, but acceptable. AND it does resemble an arm! :D

Nice conversions, they look very neat. I like paint scheme on the skin of the drum, it looks good, what colours?

Thanks Gothmog.
THe skin of the drum was a lot of mixing colours and trying out. Basecoat is Bestial Brown, followed by a drybrush of Snakebite Leather. Then another drybrush layer of Snakebite and a light self-mixed grey. Added a little Bleached bone to that and drybrushed the center and the edges.

Thanks Matt and PoW! I'll do my best ;)
Today just a little update I promised PoW: My version Gil-Galad (and Elrond). Please don't be too harsh on the paintjob, it's 2 or 3 years old and back then I was really proud of the freehand and the eyes :D Might repaint them someday though.

They're not that bad, I actually like the free hand, it's a bit small, but it's a cool design. I would be happy if I could paint like that three years ago. :yay:
