Some nice work on here. I think the camera work makes it much easier to see what you've been doing compared to the originals. The camera work now matches the painting quality. Nice terrain work too :-)

I wonder if you should try for a lighter tone on the warg perhaps - you said you would probably go darker. I don't know I just think of dire wolves coming originally from more northern areas where perhaps they have a lighter coat (genetics and all that).

Very nice work on Nori, really liking the facial detail. Now finish him up and get back to your wargs ;)

yeah I got a new phone and the camera seems to do them justice without any lightboxes or timers. Straight snap

I've only done the base layer so far, they won't be as dark in the end. I intend to keep them darker than say the sandy tone of the lotr movie wargs. In the same ball park as how GW have them.

A quick photo blitz on where I am with the EfGT set. Almost all of them have at least some details left to do.

Cheers, that was the idea.

Dwalin finished, except for basing. Looking at some pictures now I put the scar in the wrong place. Think I'll leave it.

Also experimenting with basing options for wood elves, to subtly increase their height. I think minis on rocks is slightly over done, so I'm using left over arms from the ent box set chopped up

You've been busy!!! Some really nice painting here Gene. The goblin King is one of the best I've seen so far. The boils are truly disgusting before seeing it i was actually quite hungry .....now...i think i'll pass lol.

Dwalin also looks excellent - i hadn't really looked at that particular model closely before but it looks awesome and you have pulled off a fitting paint job. Well done.

I can only agree with DMS! Some top notch painting here! I especially like how you painted the skin on Dwalin, but his tattoos on the head are simply amazing! Very good stuff :yay:

The Dwarves in particular are good...the Goblins are well done, but the boils are a bit much especially since you gave them boils instead of nipples I had the strange thought that thy were covered in nipples instead of boils because of this

Good painting all round, Radagast is a favourite of mine so looking forward to seeing him done.

All done

For anyone who has yet to tackle this one I'd advise being very careful handling it. I had to re-do all the ends on the staff, the sleeves, the shoes and the cloak a number of times due to paint wearing off. It's a hard one to handle.

Managed to get Ori done. He looks a lot older in the photo than the model itself does.
