I remember painting Elrond when he first came out, his face was really bad, mis-moulded even, like your it worked out well in the end. :yay:

Fine dwarves, goblins and elves. I like the looted dwarf shields. However, mouldlines must be exterminated!

My 8 Finecast Iron Guard for my Dwarf army, one was slightly defective (part of his helmet and left arm were missing, about a third of a centimetre wide, but I fixed it with Green Stuff).

Really liking the looks of these guys!

I don't own any Finecast stuff yet, but with all the horror stories you guys keep reporting it really makes me want to steer clear of it. Glad you were able to fix the model.

And how awesome your Iron Guard are. You seem to be like me in that you prefer more muted tones, and you do them really well. I also loved your scaffolding, btw. Fantastic idea!

This is my only defect so far out of 8 Iron Guard, Elrond and Gil-galad, Ashrak and Groblog (think that's all my finecast, and Skulltaker for 40k) and it was easy to repair

Gildor looks great Chris - one thing I would point out if I may - He looks as tho a tiny little bit of the paint has rubbed off the bottom edge of his cloak, might wanna run your brush with a little chaos black over that mate. Good stuff tho!

) I actually found him really good to paint, the greens are a nice change from the reds of my Dwarves and Goblins

My second piece of Moria terrain, an underground lake. I made it from a Rider of Rohan box, flocked the outside and then painted on the water, which was then gloss varnished (I don't have water effects). I basecoated the water with Caliban Green, washed the shallow/outside areas with The Fang, and washed the deep/inside areas with Rhinox Hide.

May I enquire as to what Old paints are the equivalents to the new one you used? (I want to paint some water in the well on my Great Beast's base, and I pretty ,uch have almost entirely the old paints).
