All the orcs look great! About the only two armies I like to look cohesive are Easterlings and Gondor basic troops. Every other army I'd have to agree with your client. Varying the clothes and skin can make for a much better looking force.

What about Numenoreans, Black Numenoreans, Isengard Uruk-hai, High Elves, Galadhrim, Dol Amroth, Black Guard?

@DMS come on with those archers 8)

Ever since I started posting on this site I have wanted to post a picture of my workspace ...... one problem I've never had a space to keep all my painting stuff, miniatures basing equipment and the rest of the stuff that comes with this great hobby all together .....until now. I have moved all my clothes and worldly belongings into my wifes wardrobe ( no she doesn't know yet!) which has freed up a space for my stuff :D finally i can post a few pics of my brand new space!!!!

Image
The view from outside the door.

ImageImage
In the middle of the cupboard - my stash of unpainted ... nice and accessable (at last :) )

ImageImage
To the right - my boxed up and varnished lot.

ImageImage
And the left of my space - top shelf = commission work, second shelf = tools/ glue / water effects etc, Third shelf = Unstarted Terrain pieces, 4th shelf White Dwarf

Image
Up above is my finished terrain pieces - As you can see there isn't any just yet other than Helms Deep and Minas Tirith but I'll get round to it eventually.

So thats it guys i just felt the need to post that because I love it !!!!!! I'd post a picture of my workspace but i don't suppose anyone really wants to see a picture of my knees. Provided I don't buy anymore stuff I'm ok for a while :D

Sorry for boring you guys :o

Looks good mate. Nice to have it all together like that. Mine is all over the place.

Not boring at all, it is always interesting to see how people arrange their workspace (and gratifying to see other people with massive backlogs).

Wow! What a ton of boxes! (Do I see a Rohan warhost in there)

Though I wonder what's gonna happend if you need your case of Isengard for a game... (Which, if I remember correctly from your blog, has a chance of happening now)

Lol I hear ya Raggbur !! the drawers full of blisters are on wheels so i lift the big box out and slide the drawers over and hey presto Isengard ready for war (in theory)
You are correct that is a box for the muster of rohan - tho i have painted the contents which are now varnished and boxed up. The muster of rohan box has now been filled up with various ft & mtd Rohan heroes and royal guard along with a second rare rohan captain from the same set :D

You nailed it there - I don't play many games due to lack of time and opponents but the games I have played are indeed painted mini's only. I will certainly take plenty of pictures when I have my next battle. As soon as I have some time to work on my own stuff I'm going to start making some small pieces of terrain, I seem to be acquiring plenty of bits and pieces such as trees, i have an unbuilt Amon Sul, and various rocks etc plus i have some thomarillionn stone trolls on the way. I will do a huge battle report once i have a gaming area worthy of game :) .

Re. My wife lol she knows now - she kinda noticed when she went to get some clothes out of her wardrobe and all my work gear fell on her

I'll take a pic of my working area at some point but at the moment its a little bit of a mess lol . I'll wait until I have finished the guys I'm paining now and have the usual clean up in between projects.
Glad it did't bore you all too much 8)

I spy 3 elven blades and a familiar looking video box on one of those shelves. I have a Palantir. I know what you are planning. :E

Looks like a good plain. The plastic storage boxes are the way to go for miniatures. Foot lockers are also great for terrain. 8)
