:o :shock: so it's been a year since my last LOTR-update... ah well...
For once I'm not getting back with the Mumakil (he made me come back the last five times I crawled out of a blog... he's still in a state that can cover up 50 years of come-backs though).

This time it's Gandalf the W... Warth ?

Eh.. fixed it meanwhile though... so this is where I am now:

After painting only female figures for almost a year, I almost gave him some sweet fluo pink and green make-up around his eyes and lips...
I'm still not happy with his eyes though, so that might still change as I approach the final stage.
But the more I try to focus on the eyes, the less I see where the tip of my brush thouches the metal :dizzy:

Will have to redo his eyes though... :dizzy: not pleased with them
And I regret I didn't smooth out the metal more before I started...

You are obsessing about the eyes, TBB. They are pretty decent (better than I would be able to manage) and you can always go back later and redo them. I would get the rest painted and judge then whether or how to make any final adjustment to Gandalf's eyes.

He looks fantastic TBB! :yay: If you don't like the eyes you could add a dot of white in the corners, although I personally think they look great 8)

Can't believe I've had him on my shelf primed white for so many years... without doing anything on him. And now he's done in about a week... :D
(and so the backlog shrinks again... well, the LOTR backlog that is) :oops:
