Can we atleast have the ent painting contest up?

Jonathan (Erunion) is the one who runs these painting challenges, so it's up to him to post it. I'm sure he's very busy with real life at the moment, and will have it up as soon as possible. He does an absolutely fantastic job running these challenges, and deserves a hearty round of thanks from us all. :)

Also, as the Ent in question would say, don't be hasty.

Ent? Where was this decided? Or where do such threads happen? I've been looking out for the next one to see what it might be...

The thread that was started to decide the miniature for the April Challenge is in the General Discussion forum. There was a vote on which miniature would be chosen for the April Challenge, and the Ent won. :)

Thank you. I've been looking out for it on the front page, News and Rumours, and Site Polls forums....

Just wondering if there's an Ent thread somewhere yet? (I know it's not frontpaged, etc, that's no problem.) I'm keen to see what people are doing, and have a couple WIP pics of my own at this point.

Not yet. Jonathan hasn't put one up yet, he's quite busy with real life ATM.

Sadly it's not up yet. Jonathan's not been on much over the last few weeks, busy I suppose. Perhaps the Ent challenge will be delayed untill May? Seems like the most likely course of actions at the moment. At any rate, I look forward to participating in the challenge whenever it is! :)

Edit: Josh ninja'd me!

That's cool. I hope there's no serious issues for Jonathan aside from RL busyness at any rate. I've already started on my Treebeard after reading the poll at any rate, so I'll just keep working on till I finish him and then throw up some photos. If I get disqualified from winning "gold coins" for starting early, it's hardly going to worry me, since I'm just going to be in it for the fun and painting motvation - I've had the Treebeard model since 2003 I'd guess, sitting in it's box, unassembled and unpainted, so actually getting it painted and finished is all the "prize" I'm really interested in.. :)

I know how you feel. I got Treebeard for my birthday a few years ago. He's been staring at me... accusingly.. all this time.

I think moving the Ent challenge to May is the best course of action. I'm having a tough time myself getting anything done hobbywise this month.

Or of course allowing it to be done over April/May, since I and possibly others, foolishly started what looked like the April figure during April(!) (Since others did the same with the Barrow-Wight challenge).

Guys, sorry for the delay.

Enunion seems to have been caught up by real life for the moment and doesnt seem to have the time he needs for online stuff. I'll ask you to stay tuned and wait for news here in this topic and/or the frontpage.

The poll winner for April was the Ent, so that will be the miniature we will be using for the next Painting Challenge. If you plan to enter and you still dont have it, you can go and purchase it without fear of not being used.

Erunion was the one who started and usually runs these challenges so we will wait a couple of days more. If he is still too caught up, the other mods will run it for the month.

My suggestions are that either we delay it for May, or simply consider it already started (since some of you already did anyway) and run it to the end of May. Ents are big miniatures afterall.

Also, this next Challenge will be the last before the Awards. They will probably resume normally after.

Again, sorry guys, but we'll get this sorted.

I think starting it now and then running it untill May would be a great idea, as many of the people have already started work on it. Also, by continuing it untill the end of the next month, it gives people such as myself more time to buy the miniature and prepare for the competition. :)

One question, will the Ringwraiths also be posting the Barrow-wight poll? I am, and I'm sure others are as well, eager to see the results for that. :)

I was just trying to put it up right now, actually.

Turns out, there's a 15 options poll limit and we have 17 (yey! :D) elegible candidates this month.

I had a look in the Admin Panel and found the setting to change it, but it doesnt really seem to work. I left a message for Daggy so, as soon as he changes it, we are good to go.
If it still doesnt work, we'll get this voting going by raised hand or something... :-D

Hang in there, guys!

If that doesn't work, technically we could post two polls, and have a link to the other poll in each thread. :)

Hello guys! Wow, I thought I would have missed it for sure... the unusual delay means that I can still vote after just returning from a two week vacation... sweet....

My my, but there are many fantastic entries since I left on the 30th .... it's a difficult one... that is for sure... my poor little Tom looks, well, downright jolly next to all your hideous spectres... Anduril, great job there....

So then... I assume the vote thread will happen in the Website News area again then?

I hope Erunion is okay with things... nothing too serious I hope. It's an unbelievably time consuming responsibility to host and run a site that is this active... and when it's good, like this site, it's always because there are individuals working hard and using up precious personal time to do so, so a delay here and there is not only acceptible from time to time it's also expected. Good Job guys....

Weeeeeeeee! I can't believe I still get to vote!!! yahoo! :D
